The artist, D*Face was recently here in Eleuthera to do a project on a building in Tarpum Bay. The piece is beautiful and will be an asset to the island and community and has been received with much applause by everyone on the island. It was done on a building on the Queen’s Highway, waterfront in Tarpum Bay and as you drive by you will be able to see it clearly.
The building is owned by Theresa Hunt and she runs a restaurant called Bayside View, which serves some wonderful Bahamian food and drinks. The conch salad is about as fresh as you can get and Tyrone usually goes over the wall and into the sea to get the conch that is freshly prepared for your salad. I’ve had it and it’s delicious!
The face of the building was painted all white and D*Face then drew on the outline for the project. Below is what the drawing looked like.
From that point it was a matter of painting which happened over the course of two days. On each of the days, people walked and drove by admiring the piece and commenting on how they loved what he was doing, how it was going to be an asset and attraction for the island and their community.
The project took two days to complete with D*Face and Stephen (Boots) working each day until dark. Below are some of the photos of the work in progress.

We would all like to thank D*Face, Steve and also Joel Colman for all the work and effort that went into organizing and making this project a reality for the community of Tarpum Bay as well as the island of Eleuthera.
Stop by and see it. Snap some photos of yourself in front of it and tell people! Most importantly – enjoy it!
